Welcome to Coverage of the 2011 Coutts Quarter Ton Cup

Good morning from a wonderfully warm and sunny Cowes.

Clear blue skies but no wind whatsoever this morning!

The RC have left the marina in search of breeze and asked the fleet to remain in Cowes Yacht Haven to await further instructions.

Hopes are high that a sea breeze will materialise in the next couple of hours to enable racing to get underway.

Check back for more updates from the RC as we get them.

(In other news….we have just seen the 100 foot Rambler 100 motor past, fresh from their record breaking line honours victory in the Transatlantic Race. Average speed of over 15 knots! She might even give the Quarter Tonners a run for  their money!)
